RON, MELINDA & NATHAN GROEN
Your hosts at Hot Paws are Ron, Melinda and their son Nathan Groen. Ron and Melinda relocated the family dairy farm to Grey County in 1990 where they continued to produce milk from their Holstein cows until 2005. They currently raise Boer goats as well as operating the boarding kennel and obedience school with the help of their son Nathan. Hot Paws Obedience School offers group and private lessons and is active in the community educating the public about dogs. Both Nathan and Melinda have been racing their Australian Shepherds successfully at mushing events in Ontario. Nathan recently competed at a member of Team Canada at the IFSS World Championships in the Jr. Ski-joring category. Ron has been certified in the St. John's Ambulance Pet Therapy program for many years. Animals are their passion and a huge part of their lives. They bring a lifetime of experience in all aspects of animal health, care and handling to compliment this excellent facility.
